Consumer Advisor Group

The Virginia Spinal Cord Injury Outreach and Services Database enlisted the help of several individuals throughout the state of Virginia who have sustained a spinal cord injury. These consultants met quarterly with program staff in order to provide feedback on the main areas of concern and importance to the SCI community in Virginia. With a variety of ages, backgrounds, regions of residence, and a mixture of males and females and veterans and civilians, the VASCIOSD was able to develop an inclusive survey that answered the most pertinent questions, and add content to the website that all individuals in the community would most benefit from.
