United Spinal Association of Virginia
Working as a 501 c3 nonprofit, United Spinal Association of Virginia's mission is to provide resources and support to individuals living with SCI/D, and to advocate for research, rights and accessibility. They work to educate and empower the newly injured, and strive to educate their families, public officials, and community leaders on the needs of persons with SCI/D and the importance of working towards a more independent environment. They offer peer and family mentors, in order to help newly injured individuals navigate the early challenges of SCI.
